SOUTHAMPTON Authorities have filed additional charges against a 34-year-old man accused of raping a severely disabled teen girl while he was employed as her at-home caregiver.
Edmondo DiPaolo, of Pemberton Township, has been charged with first degree aggravated sexual assault, second degree sexual assault and two counts of second degree endangering the welfare of a child, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina.
Law enforcement reviewed nearly 200 hours of footage that revealed additional abuse during the five months that DiPaolo worked as caregiver for the girl, who was 15 at the time, within the family’s township home, Coffina said.
The victim has a neurological disorder, is immobile, partially blind, unable to speak and is fed and medicated through tubes, according to the prosecutor.

Edmondo DiPaolo, 34, of Pemberton Township, was arrested after the new charges were filed and was again released during a first appearance in Superior Court, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office said.
The new charges were made in connection to the same girl, authorities said. They were filed after law enforcement reviewed nearly 200 hours of footage that authorities say showed additional abuse during the five months when DiPaolo was working as the girl’s caregiver in her family’s Southampton home.

Witnesses told an Allegan County judge on Monday that a man accused of murdering his daughter over 30 years ago told his wife he was responsible for her death.
Fourteen-year-old Aundria Bowman vanished from her family s home in Fillmore Township on March 11, 1989.
Her remains were found in a shallow grave in February 2020.
Michigan State Police Detective Sgt. Todd Workman testified on Monday that Bowman changed his story several times but admitted that he punched Aundria after he found her trying to run away and she died after falling down the stairs.
Bowman said he buried her instead of calling police and then reported her missing.
Elderly Ohio Man Found Frozen to Death in Pond near His Home

A 76-year-old Ohio man was found dead in a pond near his house, according to police.
The body of the man, who has not yet been named, was discovered frozen in a small landscaping pond at his home in Vermilion, a city in Erie and Lorain counties. He was found after a neighbor asked the police to carry out a welfare check at the property on Tuesday.
When Vermilion police arrived at the house, they found the man frozen with groceries near the scene.
